4th Degree – Espresso Professional 

The heading says it all – this class is only for those that aspire to be a professional barista. The class is designed to prepare you to manage an espresso bar and or lead a team of baristas. You will learn how to measure strength using a coffee refractometer and how to calculate coffee extraction using coffee algebra. We will also be learning advanced equipment maintenance techniques as well as how to replace wear and tare parts of coffee machines and grinders.

-Dialling in Milk based Coffees

-Running Sensory development activities

-Creating and implementing SOP

-Advanced Equipment Maintenance

Training outcomes: by the end of this session you will be able to use a refractometer to measure strength and calculate extraction, you will be able to correlate different strengths and extractions with their corresponding sensory experiences, as well as thoroughly clean coffee machines and grinders and replace ware and tare parts.
