White-Label & Private-Label Launch Program

Build the brand and customer relationship—without building the roastery first.

Make the product, supplier, pricing, packaging and channel decisions as one connected launch system. An external partner produces the coffee. You own the proposition and the customer.

Six weeks · MYR8,990 per business

Up to two designated founders or key operators. Up to three planned coffee SKUs.

Led directly by Tristan Creswick27 years of Australian coffee-industry experience · Founder, World Espresso Championship

The operating model

Own the proposition and the customer relationship. Use the right production partner for the coffee.

A lower-capital model still needs disciplined decisions. Outsourcing production does not outsource responsibility for quality, terms, packaging, fulfilment or margin.

You own

Brand, range and customer

Target customer, proposition, selected products, brand, pricing, channels and the customer relationship remain yours.

External partner

Coffee production

A roasting or manufacturing partner produces the coffee and may pack it, according to that supplier’s verified services and terms.

This program

Connected launch decisions

Structured comparisons, development and a six-week launch roadmap. It does not eliminate the decisions, inventory or a production run.

Internal roasting equipment is not required. Cottle Coffee Academy remains supplier-neutral and is not the manufacturer unless a separate written arrangement is verified.

Fit

Built for founders who want the brand without buying a roaster first.

Strong fit

  • Testing a coffee proposition without purchasing roasting equipment first.
  • An existing audience, retailer, café, hospitality group or corporate-gifting business adding a coffee range.
  • Owning the brand and customer experience while using a specialist production partner.
  • Needing structured help comparing supplier offers, products, costs and channels.

Not yet

  • Looking for effortless passive income.
  • Expecting the program fee to include inventory or a manufacturing contract.
  • Wanting to operate a roaster as the core production capability.
  • Seeking a promise of profit, supplier acceptance or regulatory approval.

Supplier direction

White label or private label?

Suppliers do not always use these terms in exactly the same way. The program helps you compare the product, service and commercial terms actually being offered.

White label

An existing product, your brand

An existing supplier product is sold under your brand. That usually means fewer product-development variables and may mean lower complexity or a faster path to testing, subject to the supplier’s real offer.

Private label

A more specific product, still produced outside

The supplier develops or adapts a more specific product, blend, roast, packaging format or specification. That normally introduces more development work, commercial variables and potentially higher minimum orders.

The lowest MOQ is not automatically the best option. No supplier is guaranteed to accept the client. Invented cost, lead-time or margin ranges are not published here.

Six-week applied launch program

Connect the decisions as one system.

These are six phases of work for one business—not a classroom syllabus, and not a claim that each phase occupies one exact calendar week.

  1. Customer and business model

Define the target customer, need, route to market and the role the brand will play.

  2. Supplier and production route

Choose the white-label or private-label direction and establish a supplier evaluation framework.

  3. Coffee and product selection

Taste, compare and assess available samples, subject to supplier samples and availability.

  4. Range, price and introductory economics

Plan up to three initial coffee SKUs, customer-facing pricing and introductory unit economics.

  5. Packaging and channel brief

Establish the information structure, packaging requirements and priority channels.

  6. Fulfilment and launch roadmap

Connect inventory, ordering, fulfilment, responsibilities and launch sequencing.

Launch Production Packages

When you need more than advice, add a defined production scope.

Production begins only after consultation, scope confirmation, payment arrangement and client provision of required inputs. Every deliverable requires human direction, review and client approval.

Brand direction, logo or wordmark, colour and typography, compact brand guide, one packaging system across up to three coffee SKUs, print-ready artwork from client-approved mandatory text, core social-profile assets, two consolidated revision rounds, and handover of final approved files.

Print-ready means artwork prepared from approved text and specifications. It does not mean legally approved, regulation-approved, or guaranteed compatible with a printer before that printer’s technical specifications have been supplied and checked. Not included: printing or manufacture; photography or custom illustration unless separately scoped; trademark, naming or legal clearance; food-label approval; unlimited concepts; more than one packaging system or more than three SKUs; printer or pre-press management unless separately scoped.

Accountable delivery

Efficient tools. Accountable human decisions.

Modern production tools help us move efficiently. Every commercial decision and final asset is directed, reviewed and approved by people.

You review and approve at defined stages. Final assets are handed over. Relevant domain, platform, analytics and payment accounts remain in client ownership or control. Efficient iteration does not mean automation replaces judgement, and it does not make AI output automatically original, trademarkable, copyright-safe or legally compliant.

Tristan Creswick · Academy Director and Founder

  • 27 years of Australian coffee-industry experience
  • Leads Cottle Coffee Academy’s roasting programs
  • Direct adviser for Launch Your Coffee Brand
  • Founder, World Espresso Championship

Tristan is the founder of the World Espresso Championship, an international competition built around controlled conditions and blind comparison. That work requires him to connect product, equipment, workflow, standards, people and execution as one operating system—the same connected thinking a new coffee business needs before committing its capital and reputation.

He will recommend the operating model that fits—even when that means staying with an external manufacturer, a modified scope, or waiting before committing capital.

Questions

Before you request a consultation

Do I need to own a coffee roaster?

No. This program is designed around an external roasting or manufacturing partner. Internal roasting equipment is not required.

What is the difference between white label and private label?

White label usually means an existing supplier product is sold under your brand, with fewer product-development variables. Private label usually means the supplier develops or adapts a more specific product, blend, roast, packaging or specification, with greater development, MOQ and commercial complexity. Suppliers do not always use these terms in exactly the same way. The program helps you compare the product, service and commercial terms actually being offered.

Will Cottle Coffee Academy supply or manufacture my coffee?

No. The program remains supplier-neutral. No manufacturing, roasting, packing, warehousing or fulfilment service is promised unless a separate written arrangement is verified. Final contracting remains between the client and the selected supplier.

Does the fee include my first coffee order or packaging print run?

No. Inventory, minimum orders, printing, manufacturing and supplier charges are separate from the MYR8,990 program fee.

How many products can we plan?

The initial program scope covers up to three planned coffee SKUs.

Is logo and packaging design included?

The core MYR8,990 program includes a packaging brief, not complete identity or artwork production. The MYR5,990 Brand Identity & Packaging Launch Pack is optional.

Is the website included?

Not in the core program. The MYR6,990 E-commerce Website Launch is optional, limited to five core pages and three products, and excludes domain, platform, payment fees, photography, legal drafting and guaranteed traffic or sales. The client must own or receive administrative control of the relevant accounts.

What is included in the MYR19,990 Complete Coffee Brand Launch?

The six-week core program (MYR8,990), Brand Identity & Packaging Launch Pack (MYR5,990) and E-commerce Website Launch (MYR6,990). Separate value MYR21,970. Saving MYR1,980. Approximately eight weeks after required information, samples, decisions, specifications and platform access are ready. That is not a guaranteed public launch date. Inventory, manufacturing, print, photography, legal clearance, platform fees and advertising remain excluded.

Will you guarantee sales or a launch date?

No. The program provides structured development and production within the stated scope. Supplier, client, platform and market dependencies affect timing and results. Cottle does not guarantee sales, margin, profit, traffic, rankings or a market-launch date.

Can we join as two founders?

Yes. The program price includes up to two designated founders or key operators from the same business.

What if I want to roast my own coffee?
